Taking the steps to create a new website is a big task and choosing a designer is a commitment we don’t take lightly. We appreciate companies who work with us and we are committed to creating your ideal website.
Here we explain our tried and test worflow. From inception to completion. This should give you an understanding of how we will create your website.
To get us started, we have created a fun and unique questionnaire to help get some of the ideas in your head, onto paper. Don’t worry, it isn’t a chore. Most of our clients actually find it quite fun. What it does do is help clarify your vision to us. This will help save a lot of time and work during the website design process.
During this stage, we can also schedule a phone-call to help make things clearer.
In this stage we will create your unique website site map for your review and approval. Client interaction is fundamental while we work together to get your structure in place.
As soon as the site-map for your new site is finalized, we will decide which technologies to use and then design the wireframes.
We like to understand the content we will be working with before we get to the visual design aspect of development. In creating and sourcing our content, our goal is to keep things focused, interesting and informative. We do this, while keeping with your business’ core brand outline.
Unfortunately great copy and imagery takes time and our customers find this the longest part. Don’t worry, as we will do the heavy lifting, working with you to get the tone correct for your company.
Our designer works on creating the homepage for the website. We use this to demonstrate the colour, font-size, and precise placement of all the navigation and content elements.
At this point, our designer has the opportunity to provide feedback and you may request changes. This usually takes one, maybe two, revisions. If subsequent revisions are necessary, then we can discuss things further.
During this stage we also get to work on the technical elements- coding, validation, cross platform and browser testing.
To keep you updated, we will build the site in a test environment, allowing you to view and interact with the web pages as they are being developed.
Here we run through a rigorous set of tests to make sure everything is functional. Once the site has been tested, reviewed and approved, it is time to launch the website to the public.
Through our feedback process, the public may find some minimal errors that we will fix ASAP.
